Jaguar bids adieu to its gorgeous sportscar and also remember 75 adrenaline-pumped years with the exotic duo of F-Type 75 Final Edition models

Electric cars of all types are all fun and games, thanks to the insane torque that the motors have at bay. But nothing can match the rumble of a good old gasoline motor, especially one with a distinctive muscle character. The Jaguar F-Type is a cool muscle car from across the pond that sends shivers down the spine both by its looks and rumbling V8 performance.

But just like all good things in life, the end of the F-Type is near. Jaguar has confirmed that 2024 will be the last year for both the coupe and convertible. To give this beastly Jag a proper send-off and also to celebrate 75 years of pure British sports car appeal, Jaguar has unveiled the F-Type 75 Final Edition Models. This special treatment is being offered for both the Jaguar F-Type coupe and convertible body styles in two unique models - the F-Type 75 and F-Type R 75.

While this special F-Type sports car marks a significant event in Jaguar's history, the automaker has decided to celebrate it subtly. There are a few exterior visual upgrades to set the Final Edition models apart. The same goes for the interior with a sinister makeover. While Jaguar has retained the famed 5.0-Liter V8 for both the 75 Edition models, there is a slew of mechanical upgrades focused on improving the driving dynamics of these machines.

The exciting run of adrenaline-pumped cars by Jaguar started with the XK120 in 1948. And next year, the era of gas-only Jaguar sports cars is coming to an end. While it hasn't been confirmed how Jaguar will go about with the F-Type's successor, it sure is not going to be as raw as what we have right now. The likes of Chevry Corvette and Porsche 718 Cayman will dearly miss this brutish and slick-looking Brit!

There are no major tweaks to the body style or any of the body panels for all the 75 Final Edition models. But there are a few unique aesthetic touches all around the body. The front fenders flaunt a cool badging that outlines the iconic silhouette of the Jaguar F-Type sports car. It is located at the bottom of the fenders. Exclusive wheels add more drama to these unique Jags. The 75 models flaunt five-spoke gloss black wheels whereas the R 75 models come with cooler-looking diamond-turned 10-spoke wheels.

The front fascia flaunts standard LED headlamps with Pixel technology that also embeds the cool "J" LED DRLs. The rear profile is mostly unchanged but is the perfect angle to tell if the unique Jag in front is the standard Final Edition or the meatier R. The latter comes with beefy-looking quad exhaust tips. The R models also have "R" logos that you are absolutely informed of the wild cat up front! Putting all of these visual bits together is an exclusive Giola Green Metallic shade that can be had for both the standard and R 75 Final Models as an optional extra.

The interior of these special F-Type models gets a luxurious makeover. The unique silhouette that we saw as badges on the fenders finds its way into the cabin and is present on the door sills and the center console. Jaguar has included the Interior Black Pack as standard in both the 75 Final Edition models. Lightweight performance bucket seats add sporting drama to the interior and are wrapped in Windsor leather that can also be in varying shades.

The seats also flaunt cool hexagon-spaded stitching for a creative angle to the driver-focused cabin. The interior also flaunts leather across various trimmings thanks to the standard Extended Leather Upgrade option. An Ebony suedecloth headliner adds a refreshing contrast to the blacked-out elements. As for the technology features, nothing has changed and the 75 Final Editions flaunts the fully digital 12.3-inch adaptive instrument cluster.

The F-Type Final Edition models are powered by the meaty 5.0-Liter supercharged V8 engine. It comes in two guises. The F-Type 75 models churn out 444 hp and 429 lb-ft of torque whereas the F-Type R 75 models have the evolved version of this V8 that churns out 575 hp and 516 lb-ft of torque.

The prior comes with standard RWD and can be equipped with AWD. But the latter packs AWD only! Jaguar has given the 75 Final Edition models some serious dynamic upgrades. Both models now get new rear aluminum knuckles. These are complemented with larger wheel bearings to provide livelier steering feedback.

The R75 models gain further with tweaked upper ball joints to stiffen the camber and toe stiffness. Improving the grip levels and driving confidence is a standard rear electronic active differential on both models. Elevating things further when it comes to handling are purposeful tires.

The R 75 models come with specially developed wider Pirelli P Zeros with 265-sections for the front and 305-sections for the rear. The R 75 receives further special treatment with an optional Carbon Ceramic Matrix braking system that provides for an exceptional bite!
